If anything is to be learned by the tough economy, it is that we need to help ourselves and take control of our own destiny.  Defensive Entrepreneurship can help. 

Keep your day job!  However, research, plan, and start a business.  Start to develop an alternative income stream-- or several for that matter.  Defensive Entrepreneurship allows the entrepreneur to diversify their income and thereby protect themselves and their families from the adverse job market and economy.

Does it take:

• Time?
• Effort?
• Money?

Yes, yes, and less than you think . . .

What's the key?  The critical success factor?  Starting.  Starting before you need it.  Defensive Entrepreneurship can do little to help you with the current troUbles, with the possible exception of potentially help you out of the current problem.  The real value is the next economic crisis.

My advice . . . start today.
